Paper, Printing and Converting Industry
Stork Materials Technology provides a variety of coatings engineered to improve the performance of printing and converting equipment and components. For the offset printing industry, these coatings are engineered to improve print quality and provide extended service life to machine components. Our ceramic coating for water rolls provides excellent corrosion resistance for outstanding service life. Print quality is enhanced because our unique coating provides greater water coverage over the entire roll face with no dry areas.
Stork Materials Technology offers a ceramic coating specifically formulated for ink fountain rolls. This coating features superior ink transfer and increased durability. For applications such as former noses, our ceramic provides improved wear resistance and a low coefficient of friction. Stork Cellramic also offers aggressive coatings to provide a gripping surface for machine parts such as traction rolls, traction bars and similar components.
Our Storkglide coating enhances the surface characteristics of idler rolls. This unique coating adds durability to the roller surface, while greatly reducing ink transfer from the substrate to the roll face. Storkglide features a low coefficient of friction and can be applied to any metal substrate.
Stork Materials Technology's Engineered Coating technology enhances the surface characteristics for all kinds of machine components. We offer rapid turn-around times and have technical support staff to help you with all your coating needs.
Stork Materials Technology provides a number of coatings to the paper industry. These coatings are designed to offer wear resistance, enhanced release qualities, and/or traction in combination with corrosion resistance. Typical applications include winder drums, dryers, screens, chill rolls, folding boards, idler rolls, and guides to name a few.
Stork Materials Technology has the answer when parts wear due to friction, contact with abrasive grains, particle erosion, and cavitation. We can provide a coating that is hard, dense and extremely wear resistant.
Stork engineers can combine features such as wear resistance and improved release to tailor make a solution for any problem you may have. Our technical staff is waiting to help you with all your coating needs.
